Earlier in the day, word was doing the rounds that the elections in Jammu and Kashmir might be delayed given the tight security situation in the region.
लोकसभा चुनाव 2019 की तारीखों का ऐलान हो चुका है. चुनाव आयोग ने चार राज्यों के विधानसभा चुनावों का शेड्यूल भी जारी कर दिया है. इसमें आंध्र प्रदेश, अरुणाचल प्रदेश, ओडिशा, सिक्किम विधानसभा के चुनाव शामिल हैं. मगर सुरक्षा बंदोबस्त को देखते हुए जम्मू-कश्मीर में विधानसभा चुनाव अभी नहीं होंगे. राज्य में विधानसभा भंग है और वहां राष्ट्रपति शासन लगा हुआ है, बाकी राज्यों में मौजूदा सरकारों का कार्यकाल समाप्त हो रहा है.
